If the various iterations of this Conservative government have been consistent on one thing, it has been over a frustration with the courts and, in particular, how judicial review works.

In this analysis, prepared alongside Sir Jonathan Jones KCB KC (Hon)  and Alex Fawke of Linklaters, DRD’s Ed Bowie examines the continued popularity of judicial review as a way to scrutinise how decisions are made.  It shows that the Government’s own decision-making, coupled with longer-term trends, means the attempts to rein in judicial review have had the opposite effect.
