Six months since its inception, today DRD Partnership publishes its analysis of how the National Security and Investment Act has been working.
The National Security and Investment Act 2021 has now been in force for six months.
Since its implementation in early January, the political and business landscape has shifted dramatically. Inflation has hit record highs and the war in Ukraine has prompted searching questions about the state of the UK’s national security policy.
Today, DRD is publishing new analysis, informed by surveys of the UK’s leading law firms, on how the Act has been functioning in practice throughout the first half of 2022. It makes specific recommendations on how advisors, the civil service and the Government could improve the operation of the Act.
