DRD Partnership’s Kate Miller was delighted to attend the Teach First Leadership Conference on 30^th March 2022 with Mishcon de Reya, where together they led two online sessions on crisis management for attendees.

In this interactive session, DRD Partnership and Mishcon de Reya looked at how schools can prepare themselves for when a crisis hits and how to manage the fallout.

The presentation followed a fictional case study where headteachers were asked how they would respond and react at different stages of the crisis.  As frequently happens in these situations, the example explored a single incident that spiralled into a larger crisis as more information came to light.

Kate spoke to the group about crisis preparedness, the importance of consistency in messaging across stakeholder groups and considerations when setting up an independent review.
